Luke Littler WINS Poland Darts Masters with Rob Cross thrashing including 164 checkout as fans say ‘it’s not even fair’

LUKE LITTLER racked up another win as he stormed to victory in the Poland Darts Masters.

The British ace made light work of compatriot Rob Cross in Sunday’s final, securing a resounding 8-3 win.

Littler threw several 180s and even completed a brilliant 164 checkout to dominate his opponent in front of jubilant darts fans.

The 17-year-old’s performance was even more impressive given the fact he started the week in America.

Littler and his girlfriend Eloise Milburn were joined by family members for a holiday in Orlando, Florida.

The group took in the sights and sounds of several theme parks including Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

And Littler jetted straight back from the States for the start of the Poland Masters on Friday.

The teen, who beat Peter Wright and Michael Smith earlier on Sunday, started quickly as he nailed the first leg.

But Cross, who overcame Stephen Bunting and Michael van Gerwen, hit back immediately.

Littler was undeterred though and raced into a 4-1 lead, securing the fourth with a fabulous 164 finish.

Cross pulled one back before Littler went 5-2 up.

But a slip-up from the youngster saw his opponent close the gap to just two legs.

However, Littler quickly restored his lead of three before going 7-3 up.

And he saw out the winning leg in style to lift the Poland Masters trophy on his tournament debut.

Speaking after his victory, Littler said: “I didn’t expect 9,000 fans this weekend. I love playing in front of these big arenas.

“I’m just playing well, coming to these brilliant countries like Poland and getting the job done.

“It’s another one added to the list. I want to win as much as I can.

“I can’t wait for the second half of the season. I want to win everything, but it might not happen.

“Going to Australia will be a big one. I can’t wait to get on stage and throw darts in front of thousands again.”

Runner-up Cross added: “He was brilliant. I threw my darts down the road. Being back in Poland I’ve really enjoyed my time.

“They (the fans) dragged me through tonight. I let myself down but we keep moving forward.”

Fans were certainly impress by Littler’s great performance.

But they were particularly blown away by his 164 checkout in the fifth leg.

One said: “Disgusting, it’s not even fair.”

Another declared: “Makes it look so easy.”

One noted: “Outrageous that is.”

Another added: “Superb.”
