LUKE LITTLER will go head-to-head with Luke Humphries for an incredible accolade at the Premier League Darts finale.
This Thursday will see the pair battle it out in the play-offs along with Michael Smith and Michael van Gerwen to claim the Premier League title.
But there is also another enthralling tussle going on between Littler and the man who beat him at the World Darts Final in January.
Following the 16 rounds of play in the regular competition, the 17-year-old tops the 180 standings with 114 maximum scores.
That is compared to the 29-year-old’s 107, although he has actually averaged more 180s per match but has just played fewer times than his young rival.
Now the two stars will be fighting to see who can call themselves the absolute 180 king of the Premier League Darts 2024.
With at least one match remaining and potentially two over the long format in the best of 19 legs in the semis and best of 21 legs final, there will be plenty of opportunity for ‘Cool Hand Luke’ to make up the deficit.
Smith is next up in the standings after hitting 180 on 93 occasions.
Littler finished top of the Premier League table heading into the big play-offs at London’s O2.
This is his debut this season in the competition after taking the world of darts by storm.

The teen sensation has been the talk of the nation since he reached the World Championship final back in January.
But he swapped darts for football at the weekend as he managed a team at Goodison Park in a charity match against Everton.
Littler’s team suffered an 8-3 defeat – but now he must get over that and concentrate on securing glory at the O2 Arena.
He will face Smith – who recently claimed that Littler’s rapid rise has angered many opponents– in the first semi-final.
He said: “I think they are getting annoyed. I had it last year, Littler is getting it all now.
“I don’t think they are happy that he’s getting everything. I’m not bothered.
“The players at 70 in the world shouldn’t be bothered because this young kid at the minute is one of the best players in the world.

“The people at 70, 80, 90 all they should think about is that their money is going to keep going up and up and up.
“The more this kid is playing, we get better sponsors, hopefully Eddie (Hearn) puts the prize money up again, £1,000 to £1,500 on the ProTour.
“Just because of Littler we’ve gone from being wherever we were in the ratings to only now the Premier League football in the UK is out rating us. Just because of that kid.”
Van Gerwen was victorious last year after beating Gerwyn Price in a thrilling final.
That marked the Dutchman’s seventh win in the competition.
