THE World Darts Championship starts at the end of the year with the top 32 players in the world earning a seed for the extravaganza at Ally Pally.
January saw Luke Humphries beat teenage sensation Luke Littler in an epic final watched by millions.
The 17-year-old star took the darts world by storm and has become a household name since the tournament.
He then earned himself a spot in Premier League Darts– where he is currently top in the standings – and became a PDC darts professional.
Players on the PDC Order of Merit are also battling to compete at other televised events, including the Betfred World Matchplay and BoyleSports World Grand Prix.
